The Brain Knows it Exists

Did you know that your brain is the only organ in the body that knows it exists?

That’s right, your brain, unlike any other organ — the heart, the kidneys, or the lungs — knows of itself.

It can track, monitor, evaluate, consider, and talk to itself.

Each Exercise-Experience Offers the Brain Quality Information

This is why in Collage Care: The Method™ we are committed to providing within the Exercise-Experience (EE) modules a component that offers information for the brain to consider. It comes at the beginning of the module and it is called INFORMATION TO THINK ABOUT AND CONSIDER.

We believe that offering quality, accurate, and up-to-date information is helpful, healing, encouraging, and transforming.

People can feel better with knowledge and information!

Not Taught in Formal Education

Because people do not receive any formal educational instruction on emotions, feelings, thoughts, or strategies to resolve life “somethings” (challenges and crises) they deserve that information now.

Think for a moment about the impact of one’s emotions, feelings, and thoughts on the success and outcome in life. And yet typically the ONLY place one gets instruction on these key life topics is from observing others — often one’s family of origin.

Information for You to Reflect, Ponder, and Contemplate

Collage Care: The Method™ offers your brain — which is tracking itself — quality “good to know about” information about key life topics. The information in the INFORMATION TO THINK ABOUT AND CONSIDER section of each EE is a start spot.

Giving the Brain Seeds to Take Root and Grow

The idea is to give the brain seeds of quality information. From there the hope is that the brain will then be naturally compelled to do more research on the topics of emotions, feelings, thoughts, and strategies to consider challenging “somethings” in life.

Information and More

The EEs have many more components to support the brain’s database, including a collage-making recipe and Takeaway Action Tools, which use different processes to deepen understanding.

Expanding Your Effectiveness, Fortifying Your Life, Making Contributions to the Present and the Future

The INFORMATION TO THINK ABOUT AND CONSIDER is designed to help the brain learn helpful information to build a renewed, fortified, and productive life.

Whole-System Learning

Collage Care: The Method™ offers a number of components that attune to aspects of one’s mind, body, and nervous system while enhancing learning. Offered as a collection of tools organized in a predictable fashion, the Collage Care: The Method™ Exercise-Experiences contain components which can support emotional and social fluency, while promoting ease in the body and nervous system.

The “information” section called INFORMATION TO THINK ABOUT AND CONSIDER supports learning about emotions, feelings, ways to be more socially competent, having fun, and resolving challenges.

Collage Care: The Method™  also has a number of physical “easing” tools to increase comfort in the body and nervous system as one learns. When one learns they can have “A-ha” moments. These “I see” chunks of info are used by the brain to comprehend ideas increasing social competence.

Readers are encouraged to then deepen their “I see” learnings by discussing with others. This supports the brain by enhancing attachments, increasing understanding, and building community.

Collage Care: The Method™  can help to discover the origins of one’s life story whereby helping the brain understand varied experiences, challenges, and curiosities. It also considers the experiences of the body and the nervous system!

When a person has a new experience the entire system is impacted. An imprint (memory) is being made on the body systems too.

Let’s say you hear a joke.

You comprehend it in your mind.

You may also find yourself clapping with the hands of your body.

You may feel an electrical pulse of joy flooding your nervous system.

Your mind, body, and nervous system may all be impacted in hearing the joke.

Collage Care: The Method™ Exercise-Experiences have “tools” that incorporate large- and small-muscle movements to tend to the body and nervous system.

These tools (collage-making, Qigong actions, somatic movements, and physically “celebrating”) coupled with “information”, sharing with others, and exploring one’s life story all aim to integrate the brain, body and nervous systems to process the learning experience. Wowza!

Listen, there even are more tools than just these in each Exercise-Experience!

CCTM is a psychosocial educational system to support the whole system…brain, body, and nervous system to grow, and maybe even transform!
