He determined this is part of human development to “make meaning” of life. At 3 years of age children have a natural ability as creators, using play, to figure things out. They use building blocks to make sense of the world.
Remember, at 4 years of age a person does not have full grasp of spoken language, nor a written language.
No matter, the developing human has some questions they are pondering…

+ How do we do what we are supposed to do here?
To answer these questions (which many ponder, reflect, and contemplate on the rest of their lives) they use CREATIVITY and PLAY. Using creativity and play they are collecting and processing information and then forming conclusions to understand.
Collage Care: The Method™ uses the novel approach of the child-like, play-like process of collage-making to help adults learn in the present.
Each Exercise-Experience (EE) contains a topic of value, not unlike the topics on the questions above. As a person reads the information in each Exercise-Experience they are using the sophistication of their “Adult-Self”.
In using collage-making recipes in the Exercise-Experience one is, in a special way, inviting their “Younger-Self” to help figure out what to think and feel (and maybe use) about the information today.
The value of using the play-like, child-like system of collage is that it helps one to have new awareness today. This removes the demands of the grammar, penmanship, and spelling that come with journaling about new learnings.
With collage-making, like in childhood with blocks, one can tear it up and start again. In fact with collage, you can tear the collage and you can reuse the scraps to start again to figure it out for yourself!
